The Modtronix Network Bootloader Application is used to:
- Update the firmware on a Modtronix Ethernet Enabled board with bootloader
- Update the web pages (standard HTML) on a Modtronix Ethernet Enabled board
The firmware can be updated in a very secure way via the local network or the
internet. The protocol confirms all data received by the target board.
Only after all data has been verified, will the target board be
reset by the Modtronix Network Bootloader. If an error occurs during programming,
the target board will remain in bootloader mode until it has been programmed with
a valid program.
The target SBC board used must have a network bootloader installed on it. Such a board
can be identified by a label with the version number of the Network
Bootloader written on it. The format is "BLN Vm.nn", where BLN stands
for "Network Bootloader" and "Vm.nn" is the bootloader's version number.
