This zip file archive contains the MPLAB project and all source code for the 
"updown_pch" project. This project is an example of how to use the DEV7TC
driver file for the Modtronix DEV7TC Seven Segment display daughter board 
with the CCS PCH compiler. For this example, the DEV7TC board is plugged 
into a SBC28PC single board computer. This example can be compiled for 
most 28 pin and 44 pin PIC18F chips. It includes code for the PIC18F258, 
PIC18F242 and PIC18F252 processors. It can be compiled for other PIC
processors by following the steps below.

---------- Required Hardware ---------- 
The following hardware is required for this example: 
- SBC28PC Single Board Computer from Modtronix 
- DEV7TC Seven Segment Display board from Modtronix 
- A 28 pin PIC, for example PIC18F258, PIC18F252, 
  PIC18F2320, PIC18F2410 or other. 

---------- Required Software ----------
To open and compile this project, the following is required. 
- MPLAB (was tested on V7.00) is installed on the target computer 
- CCS PCH compiler is installed on the target computer 

---------- Installation and use ---------- 
To install and use the project, follow these easy steps 
- Download and unzip the archive file to any folder on the target computer 
- Start MPLAB, and open the "updown_pch.mcp" project file (in the 
  folder where the archive was unzipped to in the step above) 
- Configure MPLAB for desired PIC processor - <Configure><Select Device> 
- Uncomment "defines and configuration" on top of "updown_pch.c" file for 
  desired PIC processor. Default is for PIC18F258. 
- Compile the project - <project><compile>
- This will create a hex file in the project folder. Program the PIC 
  with this hex file. 

---------- Compiling for other PIC processors ----------
- Modify the 3 lines of "define and configuration" code on top
  of the "updown_pch.c" file.
- Modify "projdefs.h" file to include correct "mxdefs_xxx.h" file
  for target PIC processor.
