The PICkit 2 Microcontroller Programmer is a low cost programmer/debugger
for Microchip PIC microcontrollers. It can program a large range of PIC chips from the
PIC10, PIC12, PIC16, PIC18 and PIC24 families. Additionally it is firmware upgradeable,
and Microchip regularly releases new firmware to support new PIC chips.

It takes advantage of Microchip’s Full-Speed USB device, significantly speeding
up development programming.
Included in this package are the PICkit 2 Programming Software, the MPLAB
IDE Software, an A to mini-B USB cable, lessons for programming PICmicro
MCUs, and more. Please note that this is the PICkit 2 programmer only
(Microchip part number PG164120), and does not include any demo boards!
