Currently we have 3 Single Board Computers (SBC) with Ethernet.
The SBC66EC is the newest addition to our range, and is more
powerful than the SBC65EC and SBC68EC boards. It is a mixed 3.3V, 5V board, and
has a 10/100 Mbit/sec Ethernet and USB port. It has a PIC24FJ256GB206 16-bit CPU.
Currently the SBC65EC has much better software, with many implemented commands that
can be executed via HTTP and UDP, a bootloader and other features. These features will
be added to the SBC66EC over time. At this stage, the SBC66EC is shipped with a TCP/IP
and USB (CDC class) demo application.
The SBC65EC and SBC68EC are 5V boards with 10 Mbit/sec Ethernet,
and are assembled with PIC18F 8-bit microcontrollers. Both these boards are
identical except that the SBC68EC has one USART and a CAN Bus, and the SBC65EC has two USARTs
(RS232 ports) and 32k more FLASH. Both boards have a bootloader that allows firmware upgrades via
the network. If a CAN Bus is not required, the best choice is the SBC65EC.
